Functional, Illuminated Closet Wardrobe Organization

Lifestyle Design Ideas, Other Room Tours

Functional wardrobe organization and closet lighting was in full swing at KBIS (Kitchen and Bath Industry Show) this year. These space-saving systems are ideal to eliminate clutter and simplify our busy lives. It’s nice to be able to select your outfit for the day with everything in full view from a beautifully organized display.

Hafele metal accessories include tie, belt, scarf racks, and valets that come in varying lengths (12”, 14” and 18”).  The racks have full extension slides to allow items to become fully visible. Hangars slide easily on the capped wardrobe tubes. I recently added the wardrobe lift to an impossible-to-reach upper closet and can tell you it is a great option for items you don’t need on a daily basis. I much prefer this to dragging out the step stool.

LED lighting options for glass shelving (shown here in blue and green) add a nice decorative touch and illuminate contents often hidden in the back of a shelf. These lights clip on the back of a 3/8” thick glass shelf and are also available in red, warm white, and cool white.

The sloped-front closet baskets allow easy access to contents and disconnect for portability. The hamper basket gives you a dedicated spot within the closet to sort dirty clothes, lingerie, or dry cleaning. These baskets look nice with the optional storage basket liners. Decorative finishes on these are available in Matt Nickel, Dark Oil Rubbed Bronze, Chrome and Polished Brass.
