Quartz Alternative to White Carrara Marble Kitchen Countertops
If you love the look of white Carrera Marble in the kitchen, but are concerned that it is too delicate for your family’s lifestyle, then have a close look at some of these quartz options as an alternative to traditional white marble in your kitchen.
Quartz is a very hard material and can give you a natural stone look with consistent color and texture throughout the quartz countertop. Each slab looks the same, which helps minimize the visable seems that you will get in marble countertop installations. Quartz is easy to maintain and doesn’t require the annual sealing required by natural stone.
Here are some nice options we share with our clients:
Cambria’s Torquay (quartz): Cambria’s Torquay is described by Cambria as having “a posh, continental feel much like the English Riviera town itself, with a pure milky nature that is complemented by swirls of gray and tan.”
Silestone’s Lyra (quartz):
Silestone’s River series in Yukon Blanco - You can see this full scale in our Allmilmo display inside Appliance World of Huntington, NY (showroom photo below).

Zodiaq’s Bianco Carrara (quartz):
HanStone’s Quartz in Indian Pearl - You can see this full scale in our Sag Harbor Showroom (the Allmilmo display– photo below)
HanStone’s Quartz Ruscello in Aspen (RU601) (quartz) – You can see this full scale in our Sag Harbor Showroom and in our Allmilmo display inside Appliance World of Huntington, NY.
Caesarstone’s Misty Carrera (quartz):

You can see how much these look like marble if you compare them to cabinet knobs like Cliffside Industries’ PM5-WT, made from actual Carrara marble. Knobs and pulls made from Carrara would go perfectly with these quartz countertops!
Great post! I think it’s really important for people to think about the way their counters are going to be used and how much maintenance will be required before they select their product.
Thank you and very much agree. The planning phase is essential and countertop selection is a key component.
