Kitchen colors can be merry and bright this year! If you are looking to get a head start on selecting some kitchen colors for your home, PANTONE, the color guru of the design industry, always showcases an annual color trends report. Expect to see color and lots of it in the coming years. The top colors are vivid as well as earthy and often reflect shades seen on the runway during New York’s Fashion Week. Imagine walking through a field of wildflowers with the ocean in the distance. That’s your color palette for this year.

Here are the top 10 colors we can incorporate into the kitchen.

Colors for 2017
Invigorating, right? This color palette gives us a wide range of options for adding a bit of color into our kitchens and homes. I think we will be seeing a lot of green hues, which happens to be one of my favorite soothing colors. It is the color of nature, springtime growth, and renewal. It will be interesting to see which color becomes the Pantone Color of the Year for 2017.

When finding inspiration for your kitchen colors, look outside at nature… the hues, textures, and light found in the landscape can often be all you need when selecting materials. In your travels, find a place that inspires you and take a lot of photos. Often those photos can be a fantastic starting point for your color palette.
