Salmon with honey and cilantro recipe

Ingredients List

1-2 pounds of wild Alaskan salmon
1 Tablespoon of olive oil or butter/ghee
1 Tablespoon of butter/or ghee
2 Tablespoons honey
1 Tablespoon of lime juice, freshly squeezed
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
3  scallions
2 Tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce
1 Tablespoons of coconut aminos
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
1 teaspoon white balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt & pinch of pepper

Directions

1 Preheat oven to 400 and brush the salmon with olive oil, salt, & pepper. Place salmon in a shallow broiling or baking pan (you can place on top of foil as well and curl the ends up).

2 In a separate bowl, combine 1 Tablespoon melted butter, honey, lime juice, cilantro, scallions, soy sauce, coconut aminos, garlic, ginger, white balsamic vinegar, and brown sugar. Whisk all together. (Note: I heat this mixture for about a minute to melt the brown sugar, butter, and honey)

3 Make a few knife cuts into the salmon and stuff slits with the honey & cilantro mixture. Spread the rest of the mixture all over the salmon and let marinate for as long as possible.

4 Bake salmon uncovered for 20 minutes. If desired broil it for 5 or 10 minutes more to crisp up the top.
