Cook Time (minutes)

Ingredients List

3 lbs of pork shoulder roast with bone
2 liters of CocaCola
Barbecue Sauce

Directions

1 Put roast in roasting pan and put on a barbecue grill, cooktop, or oven over low heat. Pour CocaCola over roast. Cover roasting pan tightly with foil, making sure to seal the edges.

2 Check roast every hour and add more Cola as needed as it cooks down. Keep the roast at least 3 quarters covered with CocaCola the entire cooking time.

3 Cook from 4-6 hours. Check by scoring the top of meat with a knife. If meat falls apart easily, remove the remaining coke with a baster (it’ll be hot).

4 Chop and score the meat as much as possible and pour BBQ sauce over roast. Reseal with foil and continue to cook until thoroughly heated.

5 Remove roast and chop discarding bone and fat. Add more BBQ sauce if desired. (Optional: Serve with coleslaw on hamburger buns)
