It Looks Like a Wood Kitchen Floor But It Is Porcelain Tile

Wood Look Tile Floor

We just finished this white beach house kitchen in Southampton. Although it appears to have a wood kitchen floor, this flooring is actually a wood look porcelain tile! To create a natural wood floor look, we staggered the 8” x 48” tiles and kept a small grout joint. The subtle variation in the Ibira Patina finish is stunning and makes the rustic tile look naturally realistic. Creates this gorgeous setting on the beach overlooking Long Island’s Shinnecock Bay. (The cabinetry for our “Bistro by the Bay” kitchen is from our Brookhaven Line by Wood-Mode; The tiles are from Walker Zanger. Both Wood-Mode and Walker Zanger are BlogTour Las Vegas sponsors, and we look forward to sharing their latest releases from KBIS  (also a sponsor). Designers: Mario Mulea and Timothy Miller).

Clients are loving this wood look floor because it gives them the warmth and beauty of wood with the durability of tile. Here are a few particularly striking tiles from Walker Zanger and Ceragres if you like this look:
