Ingredients List

3 1/2 cups of Brussels sprouts
2 Tablespoons olive oil
6 cloves garlic
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup raisins
1/2 teaspoon each of salt and pepper
1/4 cup pistachio or pine nuts

-more salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1 Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and slice each in half from the top to the bottom. Heat the olive oil and garlic in a large rimmed skillet and toss the Brussels sprouts in. Add salt and pepper and stir until they begin to brown a bit.

2 Add the chicken broth, raisins and balsamic and cook on your stovetop for 5 minutes; then, transfer the entire dish to a 400 degree roasting oven (or a broiler) for 10 more minutes. My family likes them broiled for a little extra crunch. Add more salt and/or pepper to taste. Toss in nuts and serve.
