For the Best Coleslaw Recipe from “D” – Thanks!
1 pound white cabbage (1/2 head)
1/2 pound red cabbage (1/3 head)
5 carrots, sliced or shreaded
2 cups of mayonnaise
1/4 cup dijon mustard
1 Tablespoon sugar
2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons celery seeds
1 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup raisins
1 Cut up the cabbages and carrots and feed into a food processor to shred thinly into coleslaw.
2 In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, mustard, sugar, vinegar, celery seeds, raisins, celery salt, salt and pepper.
3 Pour enough dressing over the shredded vegetables to moisten them. Serve the coleslaw cold.
Notes: This is great as a side on its own, but also be sure try it on sandwiches or veggie burgers. This is one of our favorite recipes ever!
