  1. These are the most beautiful wooden kitchen units I have ever seen.

  2. Love the elegant and vintage look! What type of countertop is that on top of the wood?

  3. Usually I would say too much dark wood in a kitchen is not a good look but this really works. I think it’s the combination of woods that is key here. I would certainly have the kitchen in my house.

  4. The Wood is from Grothouse Lumber (see their link in the Kitchen Resources section of this post)

  5. Elegant and awesome are the two words which come out of my mouth after looking at the images in your blog. I agree with most of you that wood-mode cabinets can change the entire look of a kitchen. They add beauty and glamour to a kitchen as well as allow homeowners to utilize the kitchen space properly.

  6. I’m not really a big fan of wooden cabinets, but this changed my mind.. a little. It just works well with every component in the kitchen.

  7. Yes Julie, agreed. It is ALWAYS about good design. I am sure the wood kitchens you don’t like look like cigar boxes. Even gorgeous cabinets can look hideous if the entire design is not well executed for the space.

  8. I absolutely love what they did with the kitchen island, in how they integrated a very sophisticated counter top with the undermount kitchen sink and faucet. Very nice!
The dark cabinet contrasts so well with the ceiling and french doors.
    Thanks.
