White Kitchen Design on New York’s Long Island Sound
This beautiful white kitchen design is on the Long Island Sound in Huntington Bay, New York. This warm, homey kitchen accentuates the architectural character of this exquisitely restored waterfront home. The painted white cabinets mixed with a walnut island is the best combination for an airy sun-filled kitchen with breathtaking panoramic views of the Long island sound. With remarkable attention to scale and detail, we varied the cabinet heights to follow the vaulted ceiling and window lines. Stools are arranged in a conversation corner providing casual seating at end of the island. The Georgian bell light fixtures complement the grandeur of the room and work well with the polished nickel Rohl fittings and cabinet hardware. The clients chose a timeless color palette inspired by the seaside with white and subtle hints of blue. The custom backsplash has hand-painted blue accents and is a soothing backdrop against the misty white marble counters. Because the owners entertain frequently with family, friends, and grandchildren, they chose to install professional appliances. Read more details here…
