Exotic Zebrawood Kitchen in Syosset, Long Island NY
Designed for a well-traveled family of four this exotic Zebra wood kitchen was the perfect fit for their eclectic home in Syosset, Long Island. The client was drawn to the unique beauty of Zebra wood but wanted only a touch of it, so we incorporated the wood in two focal points of the kitchen. The designer worked closely with the client to achieve the exact design features the homeowner envisioned. The natural river rock, bronze mosaics, and textured porcelain tile on the backsplash give the space an earthy feel while still keeping the sleek European ambiance of the space. Flanking the range with lower height flip-up cabinets allows this colorful kitchen to appear visually larger. The glass hood enhances the view of the natural stone. We removed two small windows and surrounded two new adjacent windows with the exotic zebra wood. The larger window maximizes the view of the property’s garden and pool. The durable Cambria quartz countertops allow the family plenty of countertop space to prepare meals together.
Cabinetry Used: Brookhaven by Wood-Mode with a Vista door style set on the vertical grain finished in Dark Larger on cherry. The Zebrawood accent doors are from Bentwood’s Urban Loft line. The door style is Ventura in a Creamy Zebrano finish.
