We just finished this beautiful white luxury kitchen in Huntington Bay on the Long Island sound. This warm, luxury kitchen accentuates the architectural character of this exquisitely restored waterfront home.
With remarkable attention to scale and detail, we varied the cabinet heights to follow the vaulted ceiling and window lines. The white-painted custom cabinetry is Bentwood with a Warwick overlay, available exclusively at Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly. The luxury finishes are catalyzed, which is vital to ensuring the cabinets’ durability. The clients chose a timeless color palette inspired by the seaside with white and subtle hints of blue.
The walnut island is stained in a Praline finish adding warmth and charm to the kitchen’s open floor plan. Stools are arranged in a conversation corner providing casual seating at end of the island. The Georgian bell light fixtures complement the grandeur of the room and work well with the polished nickel Rohl fittings and cabinet hardware.
The custom backsplash has hand-painted blue accents and is a soothing backdrop against the misty white marble counters. Because the owners entertain frequently with family, friends, and grandchildren, the designer installed professional appliances including a Wolf gourmet range, SubZero refrigerator and temperature-controlled wine storage, Bosch dishwasher, and GE microwave.
