Luxury Bathroom Remodeling!

I love a luxurious bath to take the edge off these cold winter days here in New York. It’s a peaceful and relaxing way to end of the day. Comfort is everything when creating a dreamy bath. When you’re ready to tackle a bathroom project, seek the help of a professional designer because combining the perfect elements from your wish list is like putting together a complicated jigsaw puzzle. Freestanding soaking tubs like Herbeau’s copper tub shown below are becoming popular with our clients. We have a current client in Long Beach that will be using a particularly elegant freestanding tub… so we will keep you updated when that project is complete and share some photos.

Herbeau Copper Freestanding Bathtub

Herbeau copper bathtub available at eFaucets.com makes a nice focal point in the room.

Here are a few special bathrooms we created for our Long Island clients:

Master Bath, Suffolk County, NY: This luxury master bath design captures the home’s beachfront view combining sensual finishes with white painted custom Wood-Mode cabinetry. The en-suite gracefully connects the bath to the bedroom and dressing area. Natural light is diffused through white wood blinds enhancing the sand-colored grass-cloth wallpaper. The custom vanity is slightly higher than the 36” standard to accommodate the clients’ taller height. The custom glass shower enclosure extends to the ceiling and includes a second exhaust fan. A border of solid slab Thassos marble runs along the floor perimeter and a combination of Thassos / Crema Marfil basket weave inset creates a custom rug affect. Adding a freestanding open shelf / etageret provides extra storage and a place to display things you love.

Master Bath, Nassau County, NY: This French spa-style bath was an NKBA Design Competition Winner and is currently featured on p. 11 of Better Homes & Gardens Beautiful Kitchens and Baths Spring 2015 issue. Exquisite Turkish marble accents the French blue Bentwood cabinetry in this Long Island master bath. In this bath we combined three different cabinet doors and included a remote controlled candle wall for ambiance while soaking and watching a great movie in the tub. You can find the Flameless Candle Vessels and Remote Control Candle Mechanism at Amazon. The space allowed for a make-up vanity, linen closet, and private enclosed shower and toilet area with an integrated music system..

Master Bath, Suffolk County, NY:   The clients wanted a separate private area to house the toilet, and they chose two sinks since they tend to get ready at the same time. If you like the style of these sinks, see the new Whitehaus console sink. It is beautiful!
