Smeg’s Retro Refrigerators Make a Colorful Kitchen Statement

Unique & Humorous Design

I was just in the A & D building in NY for an Allmilmo event and wandered over to the 7th floor and stopped in Smeg’s showroom. Walking in there, I immediately gravitated toward the colorful and compact retro refrigerators.
Like the soda pop shops of the 1950’s these pieces embody the same glamorous rounded curves. High on style, the compact dimensions of the FAB28, shown below, make it an ideal space-saving solution for small apartments, dorms, and  specialty rooms — including basements, bars, garages, and playrooms.
They are functional and energy efficient (A++ rating) and come in a variety of colors. The interior is designed for maximum storage allowing full use of the space available (Capacity: 256 litres). The door and internal shelves can be adjusted to different heights and are easily removed for cleaning. The generous interior provides satisfactory storage space for fresh food and includes a small icebox for convenience.
