Whimsical Handmade Lighting from Artist Steven Wine of ABYU

Unique & Humorous Design

One of the greatest gifts life offers is being presented with the opportunity to cross paths with gifted people whose creative minds just blow you away. I feel blessed to be surrounded by such unique individuals every day within our own design firm; but today I am talking about design duo Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz and Steve Wine whose life’s work just makes me smile.

Unique, one of a kind custom lighting made of feathers and upcycled plastic bottles. Wacky Wednesday at Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly

Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz, Principal of BNO Design, is one of New York’s most influential interior designers whose work includes projects for clients such as rock star Lenny Kravitz, author Laura Esquivel, celebrity photographer Mark Seliger, media moguls Michael Fuchs and Russell Simmons, fashion stylist Patricia Field and entertainment mogul, Sean Combs. Benjamin has been collaborating with ABYU Lighting since 1998 where Steve Wine’s whimsical aesthetic reigns. From feathers to glass to transforming plastic bottles into creatures you could become friends with, today’s post features artist Steven Wine’s unique, one of a kind custom handmade lighting fixtures — all hand made in a couture workroom in New York City’s Garment District. Experience the entire collection at abyulighting.com. It is like nothing I have ever seen!
