Kalamazoo Hybrid Grill – A Long Island Outdoor Kitchen Design Exclusive

At Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly, we are gearing up for the best outdoor kitchen season yet. Last year we completed several fully outfitted outdoor kitchens for our Long Island clients. There was an increased demand for Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet hybrid grills and pizza ovens. (Note: The pizza ovens sold out mid season so order early!)  Below is a shot of an outdoor kitchen we did in Nassau County on Long Island’s North Shore. I promise to have professional photos taken soon when the weather improves and the flowers are blooming.

Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly is the exclusive Long Island dealer for Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet kitchen equipment. For those that aren’t familiar with Kalamazoo, this is the Rolls Royce of outdoor kitchen equipment. Their line includes an 85-piece collection with technologies you won’t find anywhere else. Crafted by hand, these products enable us to design remarkable outdoor entertaining spaces that enhance the way our clients use their homes. You can buy the appliances and cabinetry as freestanding pieces, or they can be built into your masonry. The cabinetry is weather tight to protect everything from rain and snow, and the refrigeration keeps food safe and fresh even on the hottest of days.

The Kalamazoo Hybrid Fire Grill is powered by custom cast brass burners. This grill is one-of-a-kind and delivers the flexibility of cooking with gas, natural charcoal, and wood. Its deep firebox design circulates heat more evenly for superior grilling, roasting, and smoking. The cast brass burners weigh in at 14 pounds each and offer 25,000 BTUs of awesome gas grill power. You can load the drawers with charcoal and/or wood and use the burners below to start the fire. The burners can then be extinguished or left running to supplement the heat. For gas grilling, you simply leave the drawers empty. Ash, grease, and debris funnel down to a large and easy-to-clean bin.

You can select your ideal combination of cooking surface patterns that optimize the way you cook meat, fish and vegetables. Laser-cut surfaces can even be personalized with your initials, logo, or other artwork. We put a “K” on the “live” outdoor kitchen display in our Sag Harbor Showroom. Custom surfaces are cut from 1/4-inch-thick slabs of solid stainless steel. These surfaces are extremely heavy, so they create perfect grill marks and are less likely to stick to your food.

Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly can help you start your design today so you can have your outdoor kitchen and/or outdoor cooking appliances ready to go at the start of the season. In addition, we are happy to work with architects, landscape architects, and interior designers. Note: This year Kalamazoo has a freestanding pizza station to go with your Artisan Fire Pizza Oven.

Also…Be sure to pickup the best grilling cookbook in town written by our friend, Kalamazoo’s own, Russ Faulk. It is available at Amazon, Cook Out – Fresh Ingredients, Fresh Air, Fresh Flavors from the Grill  … I’ve made several recipes and they all are amazing!
