Traditional Style High End Kitchen in Great Neck Long Island

The owners of this meticulously maintained Great Neck, Long Island NY home wanted us to enlarge their kitchen and create a timeless, elegant, and functional space. The clients worked with our designer Taine D’Agostino CKD, ASID, NCIDQ (Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly, Inc.) to create the space they were looking for. This kitchen renovation turned a confining series of boxy spaces into a large kitchen with a bright and sunny eating area.

Using contrasting shades of warm tones, materials are juxtaposed in a manner that differentiates their inherent textures, colors, and natural variations. Cabinets are accented with classic molding and furniture-style details. The generous island cabinets include metal grillwork, adding another layer of texture and ambiance.

Designed for a true cook and soup chef, this room balances period style with modern conveniences essential for cooking. It features ample counter space for prepping as well as a pot filler for soup making. The kitchen is partially Kosher, and the island includes two dishwashers. Other appliance choices include a SubZero refrigerator, Miele dishwasher, Wolf cooktop, double wall ovens, Wolf microwave, and GE warming drawer. The cabinets are Wood-Mode’s Brandywine square raised panel and the wall cabinets have recessed panel drawers. The cabinet finish is Tuscan Sun on Cherry, and the granite counters are Juperana Persia.

This warm, rejuvenated kitchen is perfect for entertaining with its easy flow to the formal dining room, family room, and outdoor patio. See more photos in the video below. Love to decorate? Be sure to see our “Create the Look” section of the blog.

I really like the look of this kitchen. It looks great and is definitely something that I would class as a luxury kitchen. Luxury kitchens can really make the difference to a house and are definitely something that would be recommended.
