Artistic Personal Expression Through Backsplash Tile

Your ideal backsplash is a reflection of your own personal taste and style. This mosaic tile composition was created from a painting from the client’s personal collection. We added the white dogwood blossoms to the outer edges of the mural to “bring the outdoors in” and balance the two large dogwood trees that bloom just outside the two windows around the AGA oven. On the opposite wall is a salvaged copper relief  (see photo below). At the client’s request, we designed this piece around a broken but beloved raised copper relief serving tray. We took the relief out from under the shattered glass and designed it into the backsplash behind the farm sink. A distinctive backsplash has the ability to create a focal point in your kitchen and bring you joy on a daily basis.
